I’ve been putting quite a bit of thought into this for the past month or so and seeing as we’ve just celebrated SDCC and have FanExpo coming up in Toronto in a couple of weeks, I thought it’d be more than appropriate to hold off an extra month for this one.

I’ll admit that I haven’t read every single issue of Batman or even know every villain to ever cross Batman’s path, or their origins, but I feel like I’ve taken in more than the average person to be able to concoct a list that was appropriate. I certainly hope I can justify the list enough to honour the characters.

I’m going to try and stick to cannon Batman as much as possible but I will mention some of my preferred instances of the characters even as side stories, but as to how they influence Batman’s being, I’ll stick to cannon as much as possible.

Anyway, starting Monday I’ll be counting down my top ten Batman villains. So check back and enjoy!
